Happy Galentine's Day!

Happy Galentine's Day aka the day before Valentine's Day where ladies celebrate ladies! To celebrate, Bethany's Bling and I threw a mini Galentine's Day party. We made Galentine's themed treats, watched Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and had fun in the Galentine's Day photobooth. My mouth is watering as I type this for all of the dessert we had!

Have you ever found yourself comparing your life to someone else’s? I have. Many times I’ve been frustrated watching as the people around me are reaching both career and personal milestones. Social media tends to hype these successes up and if we’re not careful, we can fall into the “we’re not good enough” trap. ⠀ ⠀ I’m not sure what season of life you’re in. I hope it’s an amazing one! If it’s not, remember even the most beautiful, tall and vibrant flowers need both a storm and the sun to flourish. 🌻⠀ ⠀ You aren’t a failure because you have not arrived where you want to yet in life. ⠀ ⠀ You are not a failure because you are unsure of what you want to be when you grow up. So what if you’re 40, 50, 60+ you still have time to figure it out!⠀ ⠀ You are not a failure because you’re single. ⠀ ⠀ You are not a failure because you’re living with your parents. ⠀ ⠀ You are not a failure because you have not received the promotion you‘re working tirelessly for. ⠀ ⠀ Stop doubting yourself and have a little faith. Everything will fall into place. God’s got your back, friend!
One thing I’ve learned in life is you can’t be afraid to speak up for what you want. Chase your dream, eat those crepes, take the trip to Italy, and tell that special someone how you feel. We only live once, so let’s make sure we truly enjoy it! It’s time to go after the things that set your soul on fire! 🔥
There’s a difference between giving up and letting go. Giving up is quitting when things and relationships aren’t as easy as you would like them to be. Letting go is recognizing that YOU deserve better and that you aren’t going to settle for things or people who are not contributing to your happiness. It can be scary letting go and difficult to do. However, the end result is incredibly freeing- so walk away from the things and people no longer serving you, and make room for things and people that will add more joy to your life.

No matter how busy I become or overwhelmed, I make time to stop and look around. My life is filled with so many blessings that I can easily overlook.
