She is a Chicago based actor and writer with a love for social justice, food, and photography. Growing up, she wanted to be the Queen of England and worked diligently to make that happen. She was dedicated to her education, friends, family, and reading as many books as she could. The day her second grade teacher informed her of the impossibility, her world shattered. The months after the horrible incident grew longer and longer. She devoted her time to dream of a new career. Naturally, acting seemed like the right move. After all, every career sounded amazing and she couldn't pick just one thing to do. Who wouldn't want to be a powerhouse lawyer, doctor, teacher, author, professional dog walker, and professional eater all in one lifetime? Years later, she enrolled in an acting class and fell in love with the magic of storytelling.
Throughout high school, the allure of acting increasingly grew. She was a part of numerous local gigs such as: school plays, a music video, and nonprofit educational videos. When it was time to decide on the next step, she knew one thing: story telling needed to be a part of her future. She couldn't fathom putting adventures, writing, and her creativity on pause to sit behind a desk for an endless amount of hours while the world moved on outside.
Macaila continues to pursue acting in hopes of connect with others around the globe. With each character, new project and interview she is one step closer to creating a world full of acceptance, love, and understanding for each other- all while waiting for her dream role, as the Queen of England.
